《墨子·修身》

志不強者智不達言不信者行不果

Without firm resolve, wisdom does not reach its aim; without trustworthy words, action bears no fruit.

志向不堅定，智慧便難以通達；言語不可信，行動便難有成果。

志が強くなければ知恵は届かず、言葉に信がなければ行いは実を結ばない。

Insight needs commitment to become effective, and action needs credibility to gather cooperation. Mozi joins inner resolve and outward trust as two conditions of work that truly arrives somewhere.

見識需要意志承擔，才會真正發生作用；行動需要信用支撐，才能聚合他人的合作。墨子把內在的決心與外在的可信，視為成事的兩個條件。

洞察には実行する意志が、行動には協力を生む信頼が必要だと説きます。

《墨子·兼愛中》

兼相愛交相利

Care for one another inclusively, and benefit one another through exchange.

彼此以無差別的關愛相待，也在往來中互相成就。

広く互いを愛し、交わりの中で互いを利する。

Care is presented as a public practice rather than private sentiment alone. To widen concern beyond one's circle is also to build conditions in which assistance can move in more than one direction.

兼愛不只是私人情感，而是一種可以落實於共同生活的做法。把關心擴展到熟人圈之外，也是在建立援助能夠往復流動的條件。

思いやりを私的な感情にとどめず、共同生活の中で互いを支える実践へ広げます。

《墨子·兼愛上》

天下兼相愛則治交相惡則亂

When all under heaven care for one another, there is order; when they hate one another, there is disorder.

天下彼此相愛便能安定，彼此憎害便會混亂。

天下が互いに愛すれば治まり、互いに憎めば乱れる。

Mozi traces large social conditions back to repeated relations between people. Order is not only imposed from above; it is also assembled whenever another person's welfare is treated as real.

墨子把宏大的社會局面追溯到人與人反覆發生的關係。秩序不只由上而下建立，也在每一次把他人的福祉當成真實之事時，被一點一點組成。

大きな社会の秩序も、他者の幸福を現実のものとして扱う日々の関係から作られます。

《墨子·所染》

染於蒼則蒼染於黃則黃

Dyed in blue, it becomes blue; dyed in yellow, it becomes yellow.

用青色染便成青色，用黃色染便成黃色。

青に染めれば青となり、黄に染めれば黄となる。

Character is porous to company, institutions, and repeated surroundings. The metaphor encourages care in choosing what we stay near, because influence often works quietly before it becomes visible.

人的品格會受到同伴、制度與日常環境長期浸染。這個比喻提醒我們慎選長久靠近之物，因為影響往往先在不知不覺中發生，之後才顯出顏色。

人は仲間や制度、繰り返す環境に静かに染まります。何の近くに居続けるかを選ぶ大切さを示します。
